Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under RN direction, maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care across departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information. Float between designated Mercy Hospital facilities including Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical units. Schedule a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days with availability on short notice, subject to last-minute shift cancellation. Work various shifts including day or night, with no weekend or holiday requirements. Push, pull, and lift 50 pounds regularly while standing and walking for prolonged periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for ED, ICU, and other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS certification for Critical Care
- BLS certification for Emergency Department
- PALS certification for Emergency Department
- IV certification
