Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision across designated Mercy Hospital facilities in St. Louis, Festus, South St. Louis County, Washington, Troy, Perryville, Cape Girardeau, and Dexter. Coordinate care in Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical units while maintaining patient confidentiality. Utilize the nursing process to deliver assignments in departments utilizing the Gig Nursing Program, requiring availability on short notice and flexibility for last-minute cancellations. Minimum 12 hours every 90 days required with shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for ED, ICU, and other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg
- BLS and ACLS certification for Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification for Emergency Department
- IV certification
