Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision using the nursing process across Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, and Medical-Surgical units at Mercy Jefferson and surrounding facilities. Coordinate care with other departments while maintaining patient confidentiality. Float between designated locations including St. Louis, Festus, South St. Louis County, Washington, Troy, Perryville, Cape Girardeau, and Dexter. Maintain a current LPN license and hold required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, IV) based on specialty. Work flexible shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours with a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days. Push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly while standing and walking for prolonged periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for ED, ICU, and other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Availability on short notice
- Flexibility
- Subject to last minute shift cancellation
- Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift
- No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement
