Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Coordinate care across designated Mercy Hospital facilities including Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, and Medical-Surgical units. Float between locations in St. Louis, Festus, South St. Louis County, Washington, Troy, Perryville, Cape Girardeau, and Dexter. Maintain a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days with flexible scheduling for 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts. Hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as required for specific departments and possess IV certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent bed-side LPN experience for ED, ICU, and other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- IV certification
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Availability on short notice
- Flexibility
- Subject to last minute shift cancellation
- Ability to float between designated Mercy Hospital facilities of their choice
- Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift
