Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision using the nursing process, maintaining accountability for assigned patients and coordinating care across departments. Work in Medical-Surgical units at Mercy Fort Smith Hospital and community locations including Waldron, Paris, Ozark, and Booneville. Perform duties requiring standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and patient turning. Maintain current LPN licensure and BLS certification; IV certification required. Schedule 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts in day or night roles with no weekend or holiday restrictions. Minimum one shift required within 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- BLS certification
- IV certification
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Availability on short notice
- Flexibility
- Subject to last minute shift cancellation
- No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement
