Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision using the nursing process, maintaining accountability and confidentiality for assigned patients. Coordinate care across departments in Medical-Surgical settings at Mercy Fort Smith Hospital and community facilities including Waldron, Paris, Ozark, and Booneville. Perform duties requiring standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with BLS and IV certification required for Med Surg roles. Maintain a current LPN license and complete one year of recent bedside experience. Schedule minimum hours with flexibility for day or night shifts, accepting short-notice assignments subject to cancellation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- BLS certification
- IV certification
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Availability on short notice
- Flexibility
- Subject to last minute shift cancellation
- No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement
- Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift
