Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under RN supervision while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care across departments and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Deliver bedside care in Medical-Surgical settings at Mercy Fort Smith Hospital and community facilities including Waldron, Paris, Ozark, and Booneville. Requires current LPN licensure, one year of recent Med Surg experience, BLS certification, and IV skills. Available for 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts in day, night, or weekend rotations with variable scheduling and short-notice availability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- One year of recent bed-side LPN experience to work Med Surg
- BLS certification
- IV certification
- Ability to stand/walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to perform significant amount of bending and stooping
- Ability to lift and turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Availability on short notice
- Flexibility
- Subject to last minute shift cancellation
- Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift
