Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed prescriber or a Registered Professional Nurse, maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care across departments while safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality. Maintain a BLS certification, with additional unit-specific certifications like ACLS or NRP required based on the specific unit. Perform duties involving lifting 50 pounds, prolonged standing, and repetitive physical movements including gripping, reaching, bending, and squatting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- LPN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses) certification
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
