Job Summary
Provide general nursing care to post-operative patients from adolescence to adulthood on a 36-bed medical-surgical unit, including bariatric surgery recovery. Assist clinical providers during treatment, examinations, and testing while collecting assessment data and documenting clinical information. Order diagnostic tests as directed, gather results, and schedule procedures under registered nurse oversight. Administer medications, collect blood and tissue specimens, and prepare patients for testing. Report any changes in patient conditions immediately to the clinical team.
Required Qualifications
- High School/GED
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year in healthcare
- PALS or ACLS State approved IV course certification
- Knowledge of EPIC documentation and assessment process
