Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for vein and vascular surgery procedures under RN and physician direction. Collect and monitor assessment data regarding physiological, psychological, and spiritual needs while documenting care via computer or written records. Provide direct patient care for conditions including varicose veins, DVT, and lymphedema, greet patients with respect, and communicate treatment details and medication information. Clean work areas and equipment, report malfunctions, and participate in quality monitoring activities. Maintain ethical standards, ensure patient privacy, and document chargeable items according to standards. This day shift role (7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday) is within Corewell Health's IAC-accredited Vein Center in Grand Rapids, serving a small ambulatory team with seasonal fluctuations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Vocational/Technical Graduate of an approved nursing program
- Successful completion of competency based orientation program
- Healthcare experience
- LIC-License Practical Nursing (LPN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan
- LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan
- NRS Home Care, VNA, and Hospice
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross
- CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA American Heart Association
- Ambulatory or Clinic LPN experience
- Drug-free workplace compliance
- MMR vaccine requirement
- Varicella vaccine requirement
- Tdap vaccine requirement
- Influenza vaccine requirement
