Job Summary
LPN position in a long-term care setting requiring implementation of the nursing process under supervision, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of care. Responsibilities include documenting patient/resident information, utilizing technology to enhance care, delegating and supervising unlicensed staff, assuming nursing accountability for a patient/resident assignment, leading department/organization task forces, safeguarding residents' privacy and property, promoting independence per care plans, maintaining safe living areas, and applying nursing competencies and standards. Requires strong clinical reasoning, communication with inter-professional teams, and ongoing CEU/compliance; IV therapy/advanced skills may be required depending on state regulation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current LPN license in good standing
- Associate degree in practical nursing preferred
- Experience or ability to provide IV therapy/management as required by state regulations
- Experience in long-term care and nursing leadership or supervision preferred
