Job Summary
LPN role providing high-quality nursing care in an Assisted Living setting under RN/physician supervision. Responsibilities include supervising residents’ daily living activities, monitoring and administering medications, observing changes in resident condition, documenting in the EMR, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Supervises Medication Technicians and Resident Aides, communicates with families and the healthcare team, participates in admissions, care planning, incident reporting, and quality improvement initiatives. Requires NY LPN license, CPR/First Aid, 1 year healthcare experience (MAT preferred), ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to complete required training; schedule is Full-time, 8:00am-4:30pm, Ithaca, NY. Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Hold a current, unrestricted LPN license in New York State and remain in good standing.
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
- One (1) year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification preferred; willingness to obtain required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, compassionately, and effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to resident-centered care.
- Must complete and maintain required training and certifications, including Bloodborne Pathogens, within three (3) months of hire, if not already obtained.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and safely move equipment and supplies as needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, reach, and perform other physical duties associated with resident care.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules and respond to emergency staffing needs.
- Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination required.
