Job Summary
Provide professional nursing services at Newellton and St. Joseph Rural Health Clinics, including vital signs/assessments, wound care, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and EKGs. Administer and document medications and treatments per provider orders, assist with exams and urgent care needs, prepare and sterilize exam rooms, and communicate test results and follow-up plans. Support patient outreach for lab results and chronic disease follow-up; collaborate with the care team to ensure timely documentation and quality care. Maintain HIPAA privacy, uphold infection control standards, manage supplies, and participate in monthly Performance Improvement activities. Skills include excellent communication, EMR proficiency, attention to detail, basic computer skills, and compassionate patient education. Must be a graduate of an LPN program, licensed in Louisiana, CPR certified, and able to work four 10-hour/40-hour weeks with rotating Saturday duties.
