Job Summary
LPN provides professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting under supervision, applying nursing principles and resident-specific care plans. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, documenting resident interactions and outcomes, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support health, safety, and well-being. The role requires competency in patient care, communication, and education of residents/family, with flexibility to work all shifts (days/evenings/overnights) in a rotating schedule and participate in shift differentials and benefits as offered. The position emphasizes caring for an aging population within a not-for-profit organization and includes potential for bonuses and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Current unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges.
- Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing or graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum.
- Experience or supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility; CEU and competency training requirements.
- Establishing and maintaining competencies and certifications; ability to perform testing and medication administration as ordered; ability to document and communicate effectively.
