Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision, performing nursing duties, administering medications and treatments, assessing resident status, and participating in care planning and documentation. The role supports a FLEX full-time schedule with rotating days/evenings/overnights, including higher hours on FLEX shifts and shift differentials; includes duties related to resident education, safety, and collaboration with physicians, RNs, and family/resident advocates. Eligible for benefits and a $10,000 sign-on bonus; requires active LPN licensure and completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Attends pre-licensure nursing program including supervised clinical experience across the life span or minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- Ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and provide needed care
- Possess knowledge of nursing principles and patient-care standards per care plan
- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements
- IV therapy/management skills as required by state (ND example) if applicable for ND licensed facilities
- Demonstrates competency in administering medications and treatments as ordered
- Works under supervision of RN/physician and collaborates within interdisciplinary team
