Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Administer medications or treatments, perform testing to evaluate resident status, and document care outcomes. Maintain confidentiality and effective communication within an interdisciplinary team. Typical schedule is 40 hours per week, days (6am–2:30pm) with every other weekend and rotating holidays; includes shift differentials on weekends. Eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits. Requires LPN license and completion of an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred. May involve IV therapy requirements where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
