Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care in a long-term care setting under supervision, administering medications and treatments, assessing residents, documenting outcomes, and supporting care plans. Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and an unencumbered LPN license (associate degree in practical nursing preferred). Duties include resident assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team; expects 40 hours per week on day shift (6am–2:30pm) with every-other weekend and rotating holidays, plus shift differentials on weekends. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current unencumbered LPN license
- Possesses or can obtain necessary certifications/competencies for department requirements
- Experience meeting the clinical competencies across lifespan or documented clinical hours (minimum 400 hours as LPN in similar setting)
- Ability to perform testing to evaluate data and provide care as ordered
- Effective communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary care team
- Eligibility for CEU and ongoing education requirements
- Associate degree in practical nursing preferred
