Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision. Administers medications and treatments, documents care outcomes, and communicates with residents, families, and the care team. Works within care plans, demonstrates nursing competencies, and contributes to assessments and quality of care. Day shift (6am–2:30pm), 40 hours/week, with every-other weekend and rotating holidays; includes shift differentials on weekends. Offers include $27+ per hour, $10,000 sign-on bonus, and eligible benefits. Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, an unencumbered LPN license, supervised clinical experience, and ongoing CEU/compliance training. IV therapy requirements may apply per North Dakota standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, IV therapy training from a Board approved program or approved course (ND)
- Unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse license with state nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges
- Minimum of supervised clinical experience across the lifespan (part of pre-licensure program) or minimum 400 hours as LPN at another facility
- Completes required CEUs and competency training
- Maintains department-specific competencies and certifications
- Ability to document and communicate effectively; participate in interdisciplinary team
- Possess knowledge of resident education principles to develop self-care programs
- Willingness to work 40 hours per week with day shift and rotating weekends/holidays
