Job Summary
Conduct licensed nursing duties including treatments, chemstrips, I & O, catheterization, enemas, and tube feeds while administering medications and participating in annual assessments. Evaluate resident needs, condition, and history to orient, admit, discharge, and transfer residents, ensuring care plans remain updated and nursing staff adherence is verified. Supervise and guide nursing assistants, potentially assuming unit leadership, while communicating effectively with physicians, residents, guests, and staff. Adhere to state and federal regulations, support QAPI efforts by attending trainings, sharing improvement ideas, and adjusting practices based on findings. Promote a trauma-informed culture of safety and empowerment, participate in compliance and ethics training, and follow established policies. Perform assigned clerical duties, answer calls, and assist with personal services or unit cleaning as directed.
