Job Summary
Provide quality nursing care and coordinate physical, social, and emotional aspects of assisted living per physician orders. Execute medication management plans, continuously assess resident needs, and ensure wellness and safety with appropriate documentation. Respond to emergencies calmly, report incidents to the Healthcare Director, and assist with meal delivery while monitoring diet acceptance. Supervise CNAs/RMAs, establish positive cross-departmental relationships, and provide thorough shift change reports to the nursing team. Maintain high standards for record keeping and implement all policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN license to practice nursing in the state in which the community is located, holding a license in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Experience working with the senior population, preferably in assisted living or LTC
- Must be a team player who works well with others and has experience supervising staff
- Must possess critical thinking skills, ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently with strong organizational skills
- Must be in good physical condition and be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be willing to work an 8-16 hour flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
- Must be certified or willing to take and pass the certification class required by the state in which employed
