Job Summary
The Long Term Care (LTC) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care settings under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, assessing residents, contributing to care plans, documenting resident interactions and outcomes, communicating with residents and families, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure health, safety, and well-being. Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and an active LPN license; offers a sign-on bonus and incentives under the Nebraska Rural Health Workforce Incentive Program; night-shift schedule (6pm-6:30am) with rotating weekends/holidays and shift differentials. Full-time 40 hours per week with benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- IV therapy/management skills requirement as applicable (ND) if required by position, including graduation from a Board approved AASPN program or approved IV Therapy course
- Minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility or supervised clinical experience across life span as part of curriculum
- Attends required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
