Assess and reassess basic health status, administer medications and IV therapy, and perform triage upon patient arrival. Provide patient care, document interventions, and report findings to the healthcare team while prioritizing care and delegating to unlicensed personnel. Identify risks for abuse or violent behavior, initiate safety plans, and collect forensic evidence as required. Recognize abnormal lab results and cardiac arrhythmias, notify physicians of changes, and implement non-violent interventions for at-risk patients. Maintain knowledge of disaster policies and complete mandated reports for injuries and assaults.
