Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, evaluate developmental age, and organize data into a care plan for acuity-specific patients in the 38-bed Emergency Department. Execute the plan of care, oversee ancillary staff activities, and communicate concerns to the Charge Nurse or physician. Document all patient care and concerns in the record. Schedule is 11am-11pm with every other weekend requirements. PALS and ACLS certifications are required ideally before start date or within 90 days; BLS is mandatory. Current Georgia LPN license required.
Required Qualifications
- Schedule is 11am-11 pm, every other weekend requirement
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a LPN or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BLS certification required
- Graduate of an LPN program
- PALS/ACLS required ideally before start date or within 90 days of start
- PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Columbus Hospital (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
- PEARS or PALS Certification - required at Piedmont Athens Hospital (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days Required
- ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) OR – BLS required within 180 Days Required
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
- Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period
Desired Qualifications
- Emergency Dept experience highly preferred or Urgent Care/Hospital exp
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
