Job Summary
Provide basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 Trauma Center. Manage patient needs within the scope of practice dictated by State Boards of Nursing while supporting higher-level nurses and physicians in delivering comprehensive medical services. Handle physically demanding tasks and maintain detail-oriented, compassionate care for a 53-bed unit where approximately 10% of emergencies are trauma-related. Work three 12-hour shifts from 1:00 pm to 1:00 am every other weekend as part of a full-time, 36-hour schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Licensed Practical Nursing
- LPN license
- Detail-oriented
- Compassionate
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks
- Available for Second (Evenings) shift
- Available for Three-12 hour shifts
- Available for 1:00 pm - 1:00 am hours
- Available for Every other Weekend
- Available for Holiday Rotation
- Full-Time employment
- 36 hours per week
