Job Summary
Provide quality nursing care and coordinate physical, social, and emotional aspects of assisted living in accordance with physician orders and resident choices. Execute medication management plans, continuously assess resident needs, and ensure wellness and safety with appropriate documentation. Respond to emergencies timely, report incidents to the Healthcare Director, and assist with meal delivery while monitoring resident nutrition. Supervise CNAs and RMA's, provide thorough shift reports, and identify risk factors to initiate interventions. Maintain high standards for record keeping and establish positive relationships across all departments.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN license to practice nursing in the state in which the community is located, holding a license in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Experience working with the senior population, preferably in assisted living or LTC
- Must be a team player who works well with others and has experience supervising staff
- Must possess critical thinking skills, ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently with strong organizational skills
- Must be in good physical condition and be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be willing to work an 8-16 hour flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
- Must attend all required trainings, CEU's and staff meetings
- Must be certified or willing to take and pass the certification class required by the state in which employed
