Job Summary
Perform physical examination and establish donor medical history to determine donor suitability; build rapport with donors to ensure overall satisfaction; ensure donor and staff confidentiality; provide donor education regarding general health and counseling regarding unacceptable test results; evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events; assist in employee training; administer the Hepatitis vaccine program for employees; work in a plasma donation center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious agents, and cold environments; requires licensure/certification as an RN, LPN, LVN, Paramedic, or EMT and CPR certification; responsibilities include donor assessment, education, and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT.
- Current CPR certification required.
