Job Summary
Initiate admission databases and implement patient teaching in collaboration with registered nurses. Perform prioritized nursing care tasks, accurately follow care plans and medical orders, and document interventions and patient responses in a timely manner. Recognize and report changes in patient conditions to the RN Team Leader while adhering to all regulatory standards, hospital policies, infection control protocols, and safety procedures. Administer IV venipuncture and parenteral fluids per established protocols and participate in unit-specific quality assurance activities and conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed by the Tennessee Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority
