Job Summary
Provide nursing care to skilled nursing residents under physician or registered nurse direction by evaluating patient needs and delivering physical or psychosocial care. Collaborate on admission orders, develop care plans, perform assessments, and report findings to providers. Dispense oral medications, administer IVs and inhalation therapy, and conduct narcotic counts under RN supervision. Assist in emergency care, gather patient information, and perform skilled procedures like catheterization and dressing changes. Complete documentation, maintain patient Kardex, perform safety checks, and ensure isolation precautions are followed. Work at CHI St. Alexius Health Turtle Lake, a 25-bed critical access hospital offering swing-bed programs and acute care services.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
- ND State Board of Nursing current LPN License (Licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the state of ND or in a compact state. Graduate Practical Nurse (G.P.N.) must practice under the supervision of a registered nurse while the work authorization to practice is valid)
