Job Summary
Provide empathetic, high-quality patient care within the Dermatology clinic by scribing during procedures and assisting with biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and MOHS surgeries. Manage patient flow, exam room preparation, and supply organization while handling in-basket items, patient calls, and medication prior authorizations. Ensure compliance with CLIA/OSHA standards, maintain surgical instruments, and support specialized programs like the iPledge Accutane registry. Offer thorough patient education and post-care instructions while collaborating closely with providers and the specialty care team. This part-time role (0.6 FTE) runs Monday through Friday, up to 48 hours per pay period. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Medical Assistant program
- Must have and maintain a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Medical Assistant certification
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- Prior clinic experience and familiarity with Family Medicine/specialty care
- Experience with EPIC EHR
- Motivated to grow professionally in a specialty area with added compensation for MOHS training
- Thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
- Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
