Job Summary
Assess patient conditions, document findings in medical records, and greet/screen visitors for provider examination. Initiate testing ordered by providers, including scheduling appointments, performing CLIA waived tests, and conducting venipunctures or heel sticks. Administer injections to patients of all ages, assist with treatments and referrals, and manage inventory of medical supplies and drugs. Maintain accurate medical record entries, oversee documentation compliance with legal and quality management requirements, and call prescription information as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
- current Alabama licensure
- Minimum of two years experience as an LPN
- Ability to establish a course of action for self and others in order to accomplish a specific goal
- Ability to prioritize goals and reallocate time as needed
- Possess ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in all situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Skilled in identifying problems and recommending solutions
- Skilled in writing and maintaining records and reports
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, employees, and staff
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in order to maintain a safe working environment
