Job Summary
LPN provides nursing support to the physician and direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient endocrine nutrition clinic. Responsibilities include screening patients, taking vital signs, administering intramuscular, subcutaneous, and oral medications as ordered, and coordinating with the Provider or RN to deliver care. Requirements include an active LPN license and Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. The role involves assisting with examinations and procedures, charting patient information, and ensuring efficient clinic flow in a standard clinical environment. Shift noted as 40 hours per week; non-exempt in United States facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state LPN license through eNLC
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date
- Provides nursing support to physician and direct nursing care in outpatient setting
- Ability to take vital signs and collect patient data
- Ability to administer IM, subcutaneous, and oral medications as ordered
- Experience or ability to collaborate with Providers and Registered Nurse
- Documentation and communication of patient data to physician
- Strong patient care and clinical skills in outpatient clinic environment
