Job Summary
Assess patients and ensure their well-being while administering medications and monitoring for adverse reactions. Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services, educating patients and families on disease treatment plans, self-care post-discharge, and available resources. Maintain patient safety by following standard precautions with required personal protective equipment. Manage day-to-day priorities through critical thinking and multitasking in a fast-paced environment, establishing effective rapport with patients, families, and team members. Work within the scope of the job with minimal supervision, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and strong communication skills to support the comprehensive care needs of the Montgomery and Fulton communities.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the New York Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Ability to organize and establish day-to-day priorities while using critical thinking skills in all aspects of the job
- Must be able to multitask while remaining professional, focused, composed and positive
- Excellent customer service skills
- Displays integrity, friendliness, and compassion
- Must be able to establish an appropriate and effective rapport with others
- Demonstrates flexibility
