LPN Clinic - Colon Rectal Surgery

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a colon/rectal surgery clinic providing hands-on nursing support under supervision. Responsibilities include assisting the medical provider, taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination or procedures, scheduling and coordinating clinic flow, administering medications and vaccinations, performing point-of-care testing and handling waived testing per guidelines, documenting in the electronic medical record, maintaining medication inventory and safety, ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality, observing for abuse/neglect, and upholding safety, infection control, and quality-improvement practices. Includes device handling, specimen collection for tests, and assisting with patient discharge and follow-up scheduling. Requires Louisiana LPN license and BLS certification.
