Job Summary
Assist and deliver patient care duties under provider direction, including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, recording chart information, and preparing exam rooms. Perform delegated tasks such as scheduling appointments, administering shots and immunizations, removing sutures, cleaning wounds, and applying dressings. Ensure smooth patient flow by managing schedules and collaborating with the practice team. Authorize and dispense medications as prescribed, while serving as a liaison between patients, the practice, and community resources. Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in quality management initiatives. Manage schedules, time, and attendance, providing daily coaching and support to staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of accredited LPN program (or equivalent)
- Current Ohio license
- Current Ohio LPN license
- 1-year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting
- Basic Life Support certification
Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience in physician practice
- Use of electronic medical records
- Working knowledge of OSHA guidelines
- HIPAA regulations
