Job Summary
Care Promoter, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides general nursing care under supervision to support physicians and the care team in delivering primary care. Responsibilities include assisting with exams and procedures, preparing patients for examinations, drawing blood and collecting lab specimens, administering medications, IV therapy, phlebotomy, patient education, maintaining medical records, and coordinating with the physician team to ensure timely patient flow. Requires strong clinical skills, ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff, proficiency with EMR systems, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must hold a current LPN license in the state of employment; BLS certification within 90 days; minimum 1 year LPN experience; favorable background in geriatric care and team collaboration. Travel locally/regionally up to 10% is indicated, with a focus on patient-centered care within a physician-led team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from a nationally accredited school for practical or vocational nursing required
- Current, active LPN license to practice in state of employment required
- IV Therapy Certification required if required by employment State’s Board of Nursing
- A minimum of 1 year of work experience as an LPN required
- A minimum of 3 years overall clinical experience is preferred
- Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus
- EMR system experience is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within first 90 days of employment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
