Job Summary
The Care Promoter, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides general nursing care under supervision to support physicians and clinicians in a Physician-led primary care team. Responsibilities include assisting with exams, taking and recordingVital signs, drawing blood and collecting lab specimens, administering medications, preparing patients for procedures, patient education, maintaining medical records, coordinating with the care team, and ensuring safe, ethical documentation. Requires an active LPN license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of LPN experience (3 years preferred). Certification requirements include BLS within 90 days; IV therapy certification may be required by the state board. Travel up to 10% locally/regionally may be needed. Proficiency with EMR systems and strong communication skills are desirable; flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from a nationally accredited school for practical or vocational nursing
- Current, active LPN license to practice in state of employment
- If required by employment State’s Board of Nursing, IV Therapy Certification
- A minimum of 1 year of work experience as an LPN
- A minimum of 3 years overall clinical experience is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within first 90 days of employment
- Spoken and written fluency in English
