Job Summary
Provide nursing care to residents at Chantilly Heights while supervising direct care staff and assisting in ensuring genuine resident care. Observe and report changes in resident status to the primary care provider and the Director of Nursing, documenting all interactions via established policies and procedures. Maintain a current VA nursing license in good standing and complete required physical examinations, tuberculosis testing, and immunization records. Perform duties involving occasional twisting, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Work part-time hours from 7am to 3pm with competitive hourly compensation and biannual pay increases.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state approved school of vocational, practical or professional Nursing program
- Current VA Nursing license, in good standing
- Good physical and mental health, producing upon hire, and as required, a satisfactory examination from a physician or equivalent indicating that the individual is free from any health impairment which is of potential risk to residents, or which might interfere with the performance of the individuals' duties
- Ability to sit, stand and walk during all shifts
- May need to lift and carry up to twenty-five (25) lbs
- Produce a PPD (Mantoux) skin test or blood test for tuberculosis and immunization records as required
