Job Summary
Provide and direct basic ADLs for patients and carry out and document medication and treatment processes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Utilize a trauma-informed care approach while adhering to all patient safety policies, procedures, and National Patient Safety Goals to prevent injury to patients, employees, and the general public. Complete required Patient Safety training programs and maintain computer competency in approved hospital systems. Work full-time in three 12-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekends, with a shift differential applied for evening and overnight hours.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in Kentucky as a practical nurse
- Valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing
- Computer competency in approved hospital systems
- Excellent customer service skills
- Therapeutic communication
- Must be available for 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shift
- Must be available for 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift
- Must be able to work three 12-hour shifts per week
- Must be willing to work every other weekend
- Must be willing to accept a 10% hourly wage increase from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Must be willing to accept a 12% hourly wage increase from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Must be willing to work under supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Must be willing to provide and direct Basic ADLs of patients
- Must be willing to carry out and document medication and treatment process
- Must understand and follow all patient safety policies and procedures
- Must participate in required Patient Safety training programs
- Must support and abide by the National Patient Safety Goals as interpreted and applied at this hospital
- Must be willing to do all that is reasonable to prevent injury to patients, employees, the facility, and the general public
- Must be willing to utilize a trauma-informed care approach
- Must be willing to accept COVID vaccination
- Must be willing to accept Influenza vaccination
