Job Summary
Provides intermittent in-home nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and the care plan, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Administers nursing services, treatments, and preventive procedures; initiates preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures; observes and reports patient status and reactions to treatments; educates patient and family about nursing care needs; maintains accurate records; participates in medical record audits; attends staff meetings and conferences; and takes on-call duties including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state approved school of practical (vocational) nursing
- currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing
- minimum of one (1) year experience in nursing, preferred
