Job Summary
Provide triage and patient care in a cardiovascular setting, including documenting medications, allergies, vital signs, complaints, and history in EMR; assist physicians in exam rooms; perform blood work (venipuncture and finger sticks), pacemaker/defibrillator interrogation as needed; support patient education about diagnostic procedures (EKGs, Holters, stress tests, nuclear medicine); coordinate with home health agencies and other providers; manage prescription refills and complete required forms (FMLA, disability statements); assist with orders, scheduling, and inventory checks; cross-cover other CIS clinics as needed; growth potential into a Team Leader role. Requires a High school diploma and Louisiana LPN license, with BLS certification required and ACLS a plus.
