Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the 4D Cardiac Surg Intermediate ICU (Progressive Care Unit) providing nursing care to high-acuity cardiothoracic/vascular post-operative patients under supervision, utilizing the nursing process, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. The unit is a 28-bed, fully monitored High-Acuity setting with opportunities to cross-train with Neuro Trauma PCU/ICUs, mentorship from experienced teams, and an 18-month path to transition into ICU units; includes a graduate/front-loaded sign-on bonus, benefits, and career-path opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- LPN license for the hiring state (and must meet State Board requirements)
- Basic Life Support certification (AHA) or complete within 30 days of hire
- IV Certification preferred
