Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills within the scope of practice, meeting psychosocial, physical, and communication needs under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage processes in the ER setting. Maintain current BLS certification and obtain IV and Blood Withdrawal certifications within 90 days of hire. This full-time night shift position at Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin requires an LPN or LVN with a high school diploma.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- IV certification
- Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification
- Current BLS certificate
