Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for the assigned Adult Psych population under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse or licensed prescriber. Maintain professional accountability for patient care while coordinating services across departments and safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality. Work the nights shift on the 32-bed Behavioral Health unit, which includes women's, men's, and medical care sides. Maintain a current LPN license and obtain required certifications such as ACLS, BLS, and LPN-IV within specified timeframes. Perform duties requiring prolonged standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and physical mobility including bending and squatting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- PEARS certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification (previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri)
