Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision using the nursing process for the Adult Psych population across women's, men's, and medical care sides. Coordinate care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license, ensuring ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., BLS, and LPN-IV certifications are current or completed within specified timeframes. Perform duties requiring lifting 50 lbs, prolonged standing, and repetitive physical movements including bending and squatting. Work nights on the 32-bed unit at Mercy Joplin main hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire for LPNs in Missouri
