Job Summary
Medication Nurse responsibilities include administering methadone to patients as prescribed, evaluating patients for treatment appropriateness, observing and assessing patients post-administration, maintaining dosing records and inventory, coordinating with counselors, and training new nurses while ensuring compliance with DEA procedures and accreditation standards. The role requires a state license as LPN/LVN or RN, CPR/First Aid certification, and strong data-entry and medical equipment knowledge to support a busy behavioral-health treatment center.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as LPN/LVN or RN in the state of employment.
- CPR and First Aid certified.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Preferred experience in chemical addiction.
