Job Summary
The LPN provides direct resident care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include nursing assessments, following the care plan, dispensing medications, checking vitals, and documenting nursing care in compliance with state requirements. The role requires effective communication, basic knowledge of Microsoft applications, and the ability to perform various physical tasks. Candidates must have completed an accredited School of Nursing and hold a valid LPN license in Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Valid driver’s license.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, handbooks, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple sentences, paragraphs, and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Basic level knowledge of Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Additional Requirements
- PRN associates are not eligible for Paid Time Off or health benefits.
- Nursing Pool associates must work a minimum of 3 shifts per month, including at least two weekend shifts.
- Nursing Pool associates must work at least three of the six holidays per calendar year.
- Nursing Pool associates are limited to 1440 hours of work each calendar year.
