Job Summary
LPN Ambulatory/Medical Assistant - Pediatrics at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital. The role supports pediatric patient care in ambulatory settings, performing screenings and treatments, collecting data, updating health information, managing specimens and tests, and assisting with nursing care plans under RN/physician supervision. Requires Ohio LPN licensure or eligible licensure, medical assisting program completion or equivalent military clinical training, and BLS certification. Perfect for candidates with a clinical externship or robust clinical experience; includes administrative duties such as scheduling, data entry, and patient registration. Shift typically daytime with structured hours; opportunities to collaborate with pediatric specialists as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved medical assisting program OR military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1)
- Completion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross; if not held, must obtain during new hire period
- For LPN: Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing
- Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
