Job Summary
Provide patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or physician in an ambulatory hematology/oncology setting. Responsibilities include collecting and documenting objective and subjective data, performing nursing assessments, implementing the current nursing care plan, administering medications or treatments, monitoring and documenting patient responses, observing for adverse reactions, performing routine laboratory tests, educating patients and family members, and ensuring adherence to safety and infection control practices.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing
- Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
