Job Summary
Provide basic nursing care in a non-acute ambulatory OB/GYN setting under provider supervision, assisting with examinations, procedures, and patient education on physical, emotional, and cultural needs. Monitor and maintain medical supply stock and equipment, document vital statistics and encounter data, and prepare and clean exam rooms between procedures. Administer prescribed oral and injectable medications, arrange diagnostic testing and referrals, and screen telephone messages requiring provider action. Complete medical history forms for insurance, attend compliance training, and serve as a role model for the care team.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an LPN program recognized by the State Board of Nursing
- Holds a current LPN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or is licensed to practice as an LPN in the state the team member is working
