Job Summary
LPN Ambulatory - Allergy & Immunology role providing patient-first nursing care under RN/physician direction in the Allergy & Immunology clinic. Responsibilities include collecting and documenting patient data, completing nursing assessments, implementing the current nursing care plan and treatments, monitoring for adverse reactions to medications or treatments, performing routine laboratory tests, and educating patients and families. The caregiver routinely moves patients, maintains clinical safety, adheres to infection-control practices, communicates patient responses, and supports the clinic’s allergology and immunology services for both adults and children. Minimum qualifications include an Ohio Practical Nurse license and BLS certification; clearly defined shift times are 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm with occasional evening rotations and one weekend per month.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing
- Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
